Watch as I mark a star pattern, give local anesthesia, and trim the excess stretched earlobe to bring back the normal contour of his ears. At first, you’ll notice bleeding which is easily controlled with cautery. I complete the surgery with layered repairs using a combination of internal, dissolvable stitches and external stitches which will be removed within a week. Steristrips as a dressing are applied and he can even shower 24 hours later.
